What is Katy Cavalier Lacrosse?

We are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing a POSITIVE athletic experience for boys and girls lacrosse players.  Our coaches, parents and volunteers are committed to developing each player’s character, while teaching leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, physical and mental endurance. As a non-profit, we offer low cost programs and a complete developmental path from 1st through 8th grade and are recognized as one of the premier clubs in the greater Houston area.

How long is the season?

For 2022 we plan to start the season with a Kickoff Party on Friday January 16^th and begin League play the following Sunday, January 18^th. League play ends on April 18^th with playoffs and awards while our competitive team will compete in GHYLA’s end of season tournament. Check TeamSnap for exact dates and times.

 How many games do you play?

The fast-paced format of our League should allow for about 20 games for every player. For our competitive teams we will have approximately 6 home dates and 6 away games within the Greater Houston Youth Lacrosse Association,  times and locations TBD. Our 4U teams will play a modified schedule to only include home dates. In total we are aiming for (16) games within GHYLA plus another (8) tournament games. Check TeamSnap for exact dates and times.

 Is it expensive?

Compared to many other sports programs, the Katy Cavaliers offerings are modestly priced and we’re constantly looking for way to make the game affordable and accessible.

OurLittle League Lacross Program (LLL) only costs $75 plus US Lacrosse Membership fee, no lacrosse equipment is needed.

Our League Rec  Programs (GHYLA/GHHYLA) are  for 3rd grade through 8th grade, fees are on the Registration link. We will also try to compete in (2) tournaments per team which will be included in season fees. Addditional Tournaments can access additiona fees. 

What about uniforms?

Premier Lacrosse League logo Pinnies are included for Litlle League Lacrosse participants.

Our GHYLA/GHGYLA teams will use existing uniforms for 2022, there is no expense for returning players. New players will be charged an additional $125 which includes Pinnie, Shorts and Shoorter shirts designed by StickStar.

Do you offer scholarships?

Yes. For boys and girls who have desire to play Katy Cavaliers, but otherwise could not due to financial hardships, the club offers a limited number of scholarships. We handle this discretely with our Board. Please apply here: TBD
